Alex aims to empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their mind, body & heart. She has a special interest in having healthy relationships, sports psychotherapy, leadership skills within the church, effective communication, mental stability during chronic health concerns, anxiety and depression, transgenerational trauma, and support groups. Alex is a group facilitator for the YWCA. She serves as a national trainer for the Apostolic Faith Mission. Recently, and has had the pleasure of becoming the resident Life Coach for the non-profit organization Many Infinities. She views it an honor to have presented to other organizations as an advocate speaking against domestic violence.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her graduate work is now being completed through Liberty University. She is a counseling intern under the supervision of Dr. Misty Smith, PhD, LPC-S, CST. She also has a certification in Event Planning.
Alex has interest in an existential focus when working with clients. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and enjoy using Mindfulness as a technique to assist clients. I am working towards learning the technique of Psychodrama.
